The new blazing fast connectivity technology which is developed by Apple and Intel.
A Thunderbolt channel can provide up to 10 Gigabits per second (Gbps)
of data throughput (USB3.0 5Gbps)—and each Thunderbolt port includes two channels. It's based
on PCI Express and DisplayPort architectures and therefore allows high-speed connections
of peripheral and it can transmit high-definition video using the DisplayPort protocol. It also
provides each port with up to 10 Watts of power to connected peripherals.
